AlliedTurkish International Banking Unit was established on June 16, 2003, with the aim of providing banking services to individuals and institutions not resident in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), and of offering tailored solutions to meet the diverse needs of its clients.
Until November 12, 2008, the bank operated under the name AlliedTurkish Bank Offshore. In line with European Union regulations and to support the integration of the TRNC financial sector into international markets, the bank changed its name to AlliedTurkish Bank IBU (International Banking Unit) following the enactment of the International Banking Units Law on August 5, 2008. In 2022, the bank adopted its current name: AlliedTurkish International Banking Unit.
Operating within the TurkishBank Group, AlliedTurkish IBU stands out as the only unit solely dedicated to providing financial and banking services. This unique focus is its key differentiator from similar institutions. Backed by strong banking fundamentals such as liquidity, capital adequacy, profitability, and asset quality, the bank delivers bespoke solutions to its exclusive clientele. Today, it continues to uphold its historical and social mission as one of Cyprus's most prestigious and exemplary banks.
